I'm always being asked questions like "what drives you to do with what you do?" And "how do you stay so discipline?"
And the truth is - it's hard!! But I am the type of person that if I don't have a date or an end goal to work towards, I feel lost and and don't really know what to do! I'm a structured and organised person by nature so not having a plan as such, really messes with my head!
Im a firm believer of always trying to better myself and take that extra step forward, and sometimes work, life, family and commitments get in the way and shake up our routines and throw road blocks in the way. So when I reach my goal, or that end date... I can always guarantee that I've got my next plan lined up!
When we are motivated, we are excited and driven and work hard for what we want, so here are some of my tips that I use personally to stay motivated!
Set a goal: make a plan, ask yourself what you want to achieve and how are you going to get there? When you have a start and end point, the part in between is easy
Stay focussed: I'm guilty of this! Often my mind races a hundred miles per hour, but when I know when I really need to did deep I ask myself "how bad do you really want this?" It pulls me back in line and makes me re-assess what is going on.
Set a date: it might be an event or comp or a date that you want to be ready for - whether it be physically, health wise or mentally! Once you reach that end point, the self satisfaction of how far you have come is an amazing feeling!
Reflect on your journey: I religiously write in my journal every night 5 things that I am grateful for, 5 things that I love and 5 things I WILL do. This keeps me in check with what I am currently doing, and where I see myself in the future!
Don't worry about everyone else! We are all the creators of our own journey - don't let someone else's success control your expectations. Be proud of you!
What's next? Did you make a plan for after you achieve what you set out to do? Don't stop here - whether it be big or some this should NOT be your end point! Life is short, so don't forget to keep living ✌🏼
